INSPECTION. The first question most often on our customer’s minds with respect to termites is whether they have to fumigate. Fumigation is a very effective option, but it is not the only one. Once our technician has thoroughly inspected your property, s/he will inform you of your options—these generally include fumigation, local spot treatments and wood member replacement. Termite inspections include examining the attic, subarea and property perimeter for the extent of the infestation and damage to your property. Once the inspection is complete, we’ll send you a detailed termite report free of charge. We provide inspections for all properties ranging from escrow transactions to private homeowners.
TERMITE REPORT. The termite report includes a diagram of your property with any termite and/ or fungal damage noted.  Once the most ideal solution is determined, a technician will provide you an estimate of its cost. This estimate will be included on a service proposal that will also detail the work to be done as well as any guarantees we are able to offer for your specific issue.
THE JOB.
o DRYWOOD VS. SUBTERRANEAN
There are two main types of termite pests, and they are most easily distinguishable based on the following unique footprints. Drywood termites are most often identified based on their droppings; Subterranean termites, while also identifiable in this way, leave another telltale sign: mud tubes. Mud tubes are roughly pencil-sized highways typically found on wood and foundation walls which vine across infested material acting as highways which protect the termites from both predators and dehydration. Drywood termites do not require mud tubes because they nest in the wood and don’t need as much moisture to thrive. in contrast, subterranean termites nest in the soil beneath your property.
o ALTERATIONS. Drywood termites do not require mud tubes because they nest [with]in the wood [they are feeding upon]. [Further, they require less moisture to thrive]. [I]n contrast, Subterranean termites will feed on the wood but will nest in the soil [below the structure].
o LOCAL TREATMENTS. If local spot treatments are called for, our termite technician will inform you of the details of the work needing to be completed along with any preparation instructions. Spot treatments usually involve drilling and treating the infected wood member[s and/or treating the soil directly].
o FUMIGATION. In the event your property needs to be fumigated (tented), we will provide the instructions and fumigation bags prior to the scheduled treatment. Fumigation is a 2 1/2 day process.
o CELLULOSE DEBRIS REMOVAL. For subarea treatments, it is critical to remove wood debris to help prevent re-infestation. 
o WOOD REPAIR. Sometimes damage to structural or decorational wood members warrants a replacement/repair of the wood to maintain structural integrity and prevent conditions conducive to re-infestation.        
o FUN FACTS. Termites are not fun to deal with, but there are some fun facts about them that may help you in identifying their presence early on.                    
o Frass.

o Termite droppings (frass) are the most obvious indication of an infestation.

o You will always find piles of these pellets under or near wood. A single pile can be variegated. Termite droppings look like coffee grinds. The pellets range in color from black to tan. The droppings have no odor.

NOTE: Fumigation is not effective against subterranean termites. For subterranean termite control, the soil needs to be locally treated.
